Housing Assistance Ministry

Goals - The Paramount Baptist Church in partnership with CSOSA, is committed to the following goals:

To provide housing information (to include faith-based transitional housing,shelters, apartments, etc. to re-entrant returning to Wards 7 and 8),
To provide resources on home improvement, and
To provide assistance with family stabilization (referrals for furniture, household items, etc.)

Responsibilities - The Paramount Baptist Church is responsible for the following tasks:

To meet with re-entrants assigned to CSOSA and assess their needs
To provide referrals to area programs and services focusing on housing assistance
To network with Community Supervision Officers (CSO) and Faith-Based Mentors in helping to address the needs

Projects - The following projects are being initiated to support this endeavor:

"Claiming Your Home Sweet Home" - Housing Conference for Re-Entrants (completed: January 31, 2009)
Paramount Baptist Church's Housing Assistance Telephone Message Line (to be announced)
Housing Assistance Resource Packets (to be announced)
