WORSHIP MINISTRIES

 
The definition of worship is “to ascribe worth,” the act of worship first begins with recognizing God’s worth, then responding with lifestyle choices that reflect how much God is valued.

Authentic worship involves being real with our struggles and short-comings, yet experiencing a genuine relationship with God in which He is given the highest value and priority.
 
  1. Spiritual Maturity:  A living growing relationship to Jesus Christ. A model that will be seen as an outpouring of what God is doing in your life.  (I Tim 1:16)
  2. Servant’s Heart:  Be humble and willing to do anything for God, surrendering your gifts and talents to be used as the Lord sees best.  Our attitude should be, “I’ll do anything you need, anytime I can.  If you can’t use me, I won’t be hurt; if you can use me, I won’t be proud.” Our motto should be, “It’s not about me, and it’s not about now.” It’s all about Jesus, others, and eternal things!  (Rom 12:3-8)
  3. Team Player:  Be able to work well with others to accomplish our objectives.  When we lead people in worship we are prime targets for the enemy.  We cannot be united in spiritual warfare if we’re not right with God and each other!  (Eph 4:12-13, Phil 2:1-5)
  4. Strive for excellence:  Excellence is not perfectionism (which is bondage), but doing our best for God’s glory.  (I Chron 15:22, 25:7, II Chron 34:12-13, Ps 33:3)
 
“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”  (John 4:23-24)
